I was worried that he might be RIP. I checked some on the web and didn't find anything. He and Enriquez ran a dual engine dragster with injected Hemis on nitro.

"Littrell Family Racing" has been running a Twin 429 Ford engine race car for years now.

Wes has several other home manufactured race cars running as well as a truck hauler and other stuff he manufactured himself.

They electron-beam welded two V6s so as to create a V12 engine block; the engine used a single crankshaft.

Dang, bummed to hear this. He sure taught me plenty about how to setup my injection systems. Still have all my notes from everything of mine that he touched. Definitely “One of the greats”.

How much oil- really ? Two small (4L.) v8's, low hp., 2.8" stroke,6k. max rpm. I'm being told 1 pressure stage of a gerotor dry-sump pump
will not work, even at crank speed, 28 bearings.
Suggestions ? Thanks, Art.

W/r/t V12 crank to fit 2 X V6 blocks.
The correct timing interval is the usual 720° ÷ number of cylinders = 60°.
If the V6's cylinder bank angle is 60°, you're good.
If they were early Buick V6 (derived from the small Buick V8) at 90° adjacent crank-pins must be offset by the missing 30°.

This is one of those don't overthink it things.
I was one of 5 idiots in the 90s that thought 2 nitrous engines in RED mode was a good thing. ehh, not so much.
I went through the straight up, 45 thing. Straight up works without drama.
Spoke with some tractor pullers at the time. Those boys try anything and everything. Straight up works.

#-o Art.
Could it be as simple as the same amount as each engine used in the first place and add a little more for race mode?

To a finer point, where to find output spec's for a Petersen/etc. dry sump pump. Gerotor, perhaps a 1.375 wide stage ?

Re: Mating Two V8's, ( Freight Train) got oil ?

So I talked to Peterson "tech" at length. Explained put-put application. All I need is 4-5 scavenge sections , a 10 gallon separator tank and 30 gal./min.
flow at 4,400 rpm. Whoa be unto me. All because dry sump mixture looks like chocolate milk. " Somehow" I shall devise a shallow wet sump, in a front/rear divided pan, perhaps with a 10 qt. separator tank ?

You haven't really said what this vehicle is or what it is destined to do. Is it drag or off road up, down and sideways?

On Bob Stratman's series of twice-motored unblown SBC dragsters, we used a double-row chain for a coupling, with matching sprockets on the rear of the front and the front of the rear engines. Could change phasing in a couple of minutes. Some versions "sounded" better than others, but it always ran the best with both engines firing #1 TDC at the same time. One thing to watch out for, is to isolate both ignition systems from each other, as induction/feedback in the wiring can cause crossover.
