Strange rear brake pad wear
2017 Ford Expedition, outside drivers side rear pad is gone, rotor is trashed. The inside pad still has 3/4 of it's meat left. The passenger side rear isn't nearly as bad but is also wearing far worse on the outside pad versus the inside pad. The sliders are still nice and smooth and freely move. Any idea what's causing these to wear like this?

I am with Kevin, when doing the development work on that thing we had to make sure the pins were polished and lubed and the caliper bracket where the ears of the pads ride were also in perfect condition.

Re: Strange rear brake pad wear
I'd say obviously not, else it wouldn't happen. They aren't sliding freely under a load & you've gotta look & find out why.
That Ytube guy says he's had it apart recently and now it's [DELETE THIS POST] because its dry(probably also corroded) and acts like he has no responsibility for that at all! Amazing!

Some of the GM truck rears are bad about this also.as soon as they get about 150,000 miles we start seeing that happen.
