Chasing horsepower and airflow in the Philippines

Post by sbcharlie »

I’m setting up a Newen machine in the Philippines. It’s one amazing place. The engines are scooters type. The valves are 24 mm intakes the exhaust are 22mm. Shop has over 100 employees has more equipment than most NASCAR shops. A full blow scooter goes 130 mph. These are serious race scooters. The town has more scooters than most average towns in USA has cars. Its is something to see

They sure do.. I had a Honda clone 125 that would do 70 with me, a 6'1" @265lb .. it is fun. I do port work for a scooter shop here occasionally and they have no idea how ridiculous these 3rd world country guys are.. underground racing with what seems like hundreds to thousands of these glorified bicycles with engines on them.. I got scared just because I'm not sure what the tires ratings are.
