HEI pulling timing. Any solutions?

What I've done for the last 35 years or so is to remove the Chevy module and mount a blue grommet Duraspark on the firewall near the distributor and wire it up. The DS module was something like $15.95 from mighty auto parts and worked every time and never had one fail as far as I know. I only did it on daily drivers because I got tired of replacing failed aftermarket gm modules which always seemed to fail within a year of replacement. ymmv and all that
