hi finally arrived , Im in the uk , bunch of stuff long overdue ordered.What do you guys do with the breather tube?
dont have one on my current set up - presumably cut it off and weld a plate over it?

Yes Remove that breather tube as it hits the carb on many non OEM setups.
There were various breather tube locations on the OEM applications over the years..
The carb's fuel bowm vent tubes need to be cut shorter and cut on an angle.
Your carb throttle linkage cable bracket will need to be modified to lower its mounting position as the air cleaner base sits lower.

I just sold my "real" L-88 complete air cleaner last year for $3K, guy was thrilled to get it. Some other guy I see at local swap meets wanted it real bad but was only willing to pay $100 for it, LOL.
