From a data stand point we get to do something kind of interesting tomorrow.

We had some heads that were filled for a class with a 2.30 inch mcsa 2.08 valve and flowed just a hair over 300 and 284 @ .500 293 @.600 on our 427 inch amc 4.205 x3.85 12.8 to 1 the cam is a lunati but there harolds lobes 264 271 @.050 and .709 lift on intake and exhaust with a 1.7 rocker and 106 lsa edelbrock victor junior stock with a qft based 950 4150 carb on e85 this combo went 10.22 at 128.5 in 2000ft air.
Over the winter we sent the heads back to the original porter and since they are not a class head anymore and we already have shaft rockers we moved pushrods and had them opened up and the intake matched to them the result was a gain of nearly 20 cfm at .500 and almost 40 at .600 and above. They were flowed how they arrived and how they left and a mcsa of 2.80. i know we've gone from a situation where the heads were choked, to a camshaft thats choked. but what will it do?go slower from lack of velocity? go quicker by a little or alot?

I'm not an AMC guy, but depending what you are trying to turn that engine in RPM I don't see that camshaft being a choke. On a 427ci engine that you are looking to turn in the 7000-7500 area I think that is ballpark. I would probably like to see it on a 108 LSA, maybe that would help it MPH better.

Yeah 7-7500 is fine with me I think the heads should peak around 7400 so it should probably be 7-7800 if I was to really to ring it out

Velocity was too high before and will be in the ballpark now. Will go noticeably faster.

The answer is .4 and 7 mph faster 9.83 at 135.4
