Can't click usernames?

I noticed that usernames are no longer hyperlinked to that user's profile page. Why not? I'm hoping this was unintentional. Anyway. Just wondering if it's permanent or what. Thanks!

Yes, I just saw this when trying to help a poster.
I will often quickly read through a few hundred of their posts -- old habit from a technological artifact known as a book.

Google does not have as many of them specifically linked to a user name, though it is possible to do reverse searches to reveal mysterious id changes to member-bot status.

Hopefully, this is temporary, as we work through a security issue.
