Ok kinda read this article https://www.enginelabs.com/engine-tech/ ... -pushrods/
and it made me think, why not OD sleeve pushrods with say titanium or something light n stiff? Would CF or fiberglass(like the driveshafts) help with harmoics? Yes I know you can get tapered pushrods n so on... OD is better than wall thickeness.......they use to use alum pushrods for some apps.... people sleeve the ID with roll-pins to restrict oil.... But if you could slide over a sleeve n green loctite em on would it be worth it?
Maybe it's a bad idea I'm sure someone will inform me why if so but I like out of norm ideas.

I know as much as I can learn and try to keep an open mind to anything!
If I didn't overthink stuff I wouldn't be on speedtalk!

Re: Pushrod OD sleeves?
I had the same idea....like steel sleeved aluminum pushrods, could work killer.
Most apps the OD is restricted by having to fit between the ports, so, can't do it. But, some engines the pushrods have lots of room and it could work.

Back in time, when Porsches ran pushrod 4s, they released some racing pushrods that were thinwall tubular and stuffed with balsa! They didn't oil thru the pushrods and supposedly the balsa dowels stiffened things up and maybe damped harmonics for a few extra revs.
