Just begun efforts to have crimped the reduced hoses for a custom A/C system build. A local pro advises these hose are not for crimped connections, instead says the E-Z Clip approach is required. Hard to reconcile the high cost of those pieces, also must question why my vendor would sell fittings for the hose if not viable. Advice?

Today I visited a 2nd pro who, like the 1st, would not touch the reduced hose. Both fellows view the reduced as too fragile for reliability, today's guy comparing it physically to low grade garden hose in that bending tighter than permitted would result in telltale white witness band, where gas containment would inevitably fail.
