What engine combo is that on? did you test spacers to arrive at that as the best combo for your setup? I have an rpm air gap and had a 1" hvh tapered on it, reason I am asking as I'd love to know more. Thanks.

I haven't made it that far yet, bud. Been stalled forever on a block but it's a 10.4 ish 406 SBC for my '83 K10. I knew we'd have to test so I started with the tallest one because it looks cool, lolRickSBC400 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 19, 2023 5:48 pmWhat engine combo is that on? did you test spacers to arrive at that as the best combo for your setup? Or a high compression 406 with VFactor heads?SpeierRacingHeads wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 11:04 am The only thing I'm curious about is does all this apply on every engine? I say nope.
Would the results be the same on a 406 or 434?

Is that by hand or mill?
Those taller plenum Team G have a ton of material.
I am looking at getting a mill so I can machine the plenum area's, save a lot of grinding

Steve,
That is by hand. I don't have a mill.
A ton of material and a ton of work.
The carb pad is still a 4150.
I've got a 'few' more hours grinding into it since those pics.
