If your working on a GM A body its simple. First change the ball joints to tall ball joints. Change the upper to a .9 taller and lower would get a .5 taller ball joint.

Next, switch the upper control arms from side to side. This will give you an instant 8-9 degree positive caster.

Make sure you set the camber to zero. The positive caster will tilt the wheels the way you want them to. When turning, you want the tops of the tires tilting toward the direction of the turn. Having a fair amount of camber in the alignment will make the car squirrelly when at high speeds like on the highway. I dont like anymore then -.25... I like my caster set to +8 passenger side +7.5 drivers side. This helps the car stay straight instead of drifting into the curb..

Before you do anything, get a good steering box. I like the Lee boxes. My 69 el Camino has a lee 14:1 set at 30 pounds..This box took the overassist away that the factory box had.
