Calvin made me some headers.
Couple weeks ago I received the headers I ordered from Calvin Elston. Excellent craftsmanship and a great guy to do business with. Just yesterday he called me to check in and see how things were coming along on my end. He knows I’m just an average guy and a no name in any racing circles.
Can’t wait for the engine builder to get back in town so he and I can finish up the engine and get this thing on the dyno. Then, button it up in the car, and see what it will do at the dragstrip. Anyway, I would recommend working with Calvin to anybody. He definitely lives up to his reputation and is one heck of a nice guy to do business with.

Been raining, so I got bored and pieced them together as I sit around and wait on the engine and some final parts.

Oh, nice!
Take it this was something he had a jig for already?

Yes. ‘65 Mustang engine bay. I did have to send him one of my cylinder heads though.

Re: Calvin made me some headers.
Pretty simple build. Mexican block 306 28 oz imbalance. Stock length rod. 11.4:1 compression hopefully good for Cali 91 octane. AFR 220 heads, and still trying to figure out what AVAILABLE carb single plain intake. Topped of by an old 950 Holley HP with the small 750 sized venturi. Valvetrain handled by EDC aka Ed Curtis. Under .750” lift and little over 250 at .050 on the intake lobe. Peak HP should be around 7,800 rpm for my street/strip application.
Car is a not too heavy ‘65 Mustang fastback, Cal Tracks suspension, 4.56 rear grear, short little 26” slick, and faceplated T5 I put together.

A darn good deal if you know custom headers price, cost of materials, and the history and level of success of the guy who builds them.
Lots of no names charge more.

You got bored because it was raining? I'd have knocked the Thanksgiving turkey off the dinner table to piece those bad boys together

I get why they exist, but I’m bored of cookie cutter big blocks. They all start sounding / looking the same after a while.
