Re: 395 stroker small block chevy
This should be of interest to those on this thread: When the 408” FI engine now in my C4 corvette was on the dyno it was 600/615 HP @ 6.6/6.7 RPM.
TriY headers gave up a little on the top end but, really picked the torque up around 4K (thank you Calvin Elston). What was a pleasant surprise was
how accurate Engine Analyzer Pro and Dynomation simulation software was - they were within roughly one percent of each other on the HP and at what RPM but, a “little” high on the torque. Good data in good data out.
If you want to play with engines, these simulation softwares are dollars well spent.

What fuel are you using?
I would think also more duration with that compression.
I suspect a 1.7 rocker with that intake lobe to get 680" lift.
I think it would run pretty good for a dirt car especially out of the corners.

Because he wants to shift at 6000 and will never see when things actually grow.......Bigchief632 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 9:51 amWhat's the application? You might want to run a thicker head gasket. I don't know why you guys run that so tight, there's no advantage other than the small gain in compression, with the risk of the piston smashing the head.1127thunder wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2023 5:12 pm 4.030 bore 3875 stroke 6.00 rods zero deck 027 cometic gasket 62 cc heads 2.100 valve delwest titanium 1,6 ex carb aed 1000 cfm my head flow 322 at 700 and 250 exhaust or i will put my other cam 294 308 260 in 272 at 50 669 lift intake 630 ex with 1.5 rockers lash 12 in 20 ex i think with this cam mo hp but i will loose torque

That cam might make traction tough on dirt.

It is a circle track dirt application, it'l see plenty of heat. I still say there's no advantage to running it that tight unless it's to gain compression.af2 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 6:38 pmBecause he wants to shift at 6000 and will never see when things actually grow.......Bigchief632 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 9:51 amWhat's the application? Curious, what they cost you, if he made a jig. I'd love to get a set of tri-y made for my c4. Got any photos, or other data of the build.Gregory wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 12:07 pm This should be of interest to those on this thread: When the 408” FI engine now in my C4 corvette was on the dyno it was 600/615 HP @ 6.6/6.7 RPM.
